Bible Note: O.K.whatever.We'll talk about 1Tim 3:2. Verse six is also interesting in comparison with Titus 1:10 as my Study Bible references. "For some men, straying from theses things, have turned aside to fruitless discussion, wanting to be teachers of the Law..."--"...For this cause reprove them severely that they may be sound in the faith, not paying attention of Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.." I see a contrast between teaching the Law and teaching the Truth, if you will. I think that it is important to stand up and speak the truth in love as your Ephesians reference says. I think also that any leader of worth will listen to you no matter what his rank. I worked for a chaplain in the U.S.Army. (clerk typist, field organ player, driver, etc.) and my boss would not have been rank conscious. |
