AMPLIFIED 2015 | 2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one in any way deceive or entrap you, for that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first [that is, the great rebellion, the abandonment of the faith by professed Christians], and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction [the Antichrist, the one who is destined to be destroyed], [Dan 7:25; 8:25; 1 Tim 4:1] |
Subject: The rapture will NOT happen until... |
Bible Note: Kalos Yes they present answers but it from their point of view. Their point of view is one of many and all base their claim on scripture. The point I'm making is that Scripture does not explicitly define the rapture, it does not explicitly define if there is a rapture, or when it will occur, nor does it answer the 5 points I raised in my first post. The basis for sola scriptura is to be convinced by scripture however on these points we are not given enough scripture or definitions to say scripture provides explicit evidence for any one point of view. We might come to a belief but certainly we can’t say we have irrefutable proof. Again I thank you for your posting on Pre Wrath rapture but I must remind everyone it is only one of many plausible scenarios. The Assemblies of God of which I'm a part hold to pre trib rapture and they supply an equally convincing argument based on scripture to support their position. The book "The Ultimate Victory by the eminent AG scholar Dr. Stanley Horton makes an equally convincing case for pre trib rapture. I find the book Revelations Four View by Steve Gregg to present a very good picture of the most common view of this subject with scripture. EdB |
