Subject: Rapture question? |
Bible Note: EdB, you have rightly said: "For us to even attempt to judge God and His actions is an insult to God’s sovereignty when did the created get to question the creator?" Brother, you took the words right out of my mouth. Indeed, will the thing made say to the One who made him, "I don't think you're being fair"? What presumption! Whatever God chooses to do, He will always do only what is in harmony with His own divine nature. We know that, in addition to being sovereign, God is always just and righteous in all His judgments. It's good to look at things from the perspective of the Word of God and not be limited to our petty ideas of what is fair. (BTW, where does it say in Scripture that God is "fair"? Instead, Scripture tells us that God is "just." Not only that, He goes beyond justice -- He is also merciful.) "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance" (2 Peter 3:9 KJV) Excellent answer, Ed. Well said! Grace to you, kalos |
