AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Thessalonians 4:17 Then we who are alive and remain [on the earth] will simultaneously be caught up (raptured) together with them [the resurrected ones] in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord! [John 14:3; 1 Cor 15:52; 2 Cor 5:8; Phil 1:23; Col 3:4] |
Subject: Will there be a partial rapture? |
Bible Note: Jeff: You write: '1) we are saved when believing in Jesus Christ for salvation. 2) this believing comes through faith. 3) this faith is not of ourselves but given by God “in measure” (so that no man can boast of it). 'Therefore, I do not believe there is such thing as an “unfaithful” Christian. If one is a true Christian one has believed and confessed Jesus Christ through faith given him/her by God. This faithfulness from God is sufficient.' I agree with you. And although I do not find anything in Scripture to support a partial rapture theory, I have been exposed to this teaching all my life -- not from the church I belong to, but from many individuals who have "figured it out" on their own. Thank you for your reply. Grace to you, Kalos |
