Bible Question: Is it true to say that the bible teaches us that God is in the Heavens, thats His abode and that man has been given the earth to live on for know?

IM NOT SURE IF I CAN TEACH THIS TO MY STUDENTS.WE HAVE BEEN QUESTIONING MANS ATTEMPTS TO REACH SPACE AND WHETHER THIS IS PLEASING OR UNPLEASING TO GOD?

The Bible doesn't say if it pleases Him or not. The Bible doesn't It is our motive for our actions. Are we trying to be like Him or even reach Him like those at Babel (Gen 11)?
