Bible Question (short): Is any of this true?

Question (full): Hi, First let me say that what I am about to ask may be "old news". I try hard not to watch the news as I find it sad and most times I become angry with what I hear and my inability to help change any of it. I was recently told at a bar-b-que that Israel signed a peace treaty in 2003 and that it is up this year. I was told that the rapture had to have already happened because the bible says that the treaty will be signed after the rapture. I went to church as a child but do not remember much of what I learned, I stopped going at about 11 and have only been a handful of times since. I have looked in my bible for what I was told but cant find it as I am unfamiliar with verse and such. My real question is this, is it possible that the rapture has happened? Hundreds of people have "disappeared" over the years and a lot are innocent children who are never found. Is it said in the bible that the rapture will be a mass disappearance all at once? Forgive my ignorance please but I am really curious as to what exactly is said about it. Where to read about it at would help me out a lot, thanks for the help.
