Bible Question: What is the role of the pastor in the church? Should he be treated like a king? |
Bible Answer: 1 Thessalonians 2:6 - Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ. I hope a pastor is not seeking the honour nor the glory as a pastor. But to completely answer the question---verse 1st Thess 5:12 "And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; 13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake." So Pastor's are to be esteemed highly esteemed. In Christ Michael |
