AMPLIFIED 2015 | Philippians 4:8 ¶ Finally, believers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable and worthy of respect, whatever is right and confirmed by God's word, whatever is pure and wholesome, whatever is lovely and brings peace, whatever is admirable and of good repute; if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think continually on these things [center your mind on them, and implant them in your heart]. |
Subject: is naked picture of your spouse wrong |
Bible Note: Dear Raychel, To say that a man should not view pictures of his wife naked is to say that he should never remember the times that he has seen her naked. If the physical picture is just a manifestation of mental picture, then weather he sees it in his hand or if he sees it in his head rest assured that he will see it. How he choses to see you in his head or how you choose to pose for these pictures will determine weather they are sinful or not. If they are not tastefully done then it will guide his thoughts to lust rather than beauty. There is a balance to nature and though we'd like to think that we will always think from a spiritual perspective there will come the time when we will look from a physical perspective. You have a responsibility to your husband "in sickness and in health". If he is lusting(sickness) a picture or the lack there of won't stop him. However, I don't believe that you'd be wrong to help him channel that energy towards you. |
