Bible Question:
Praise God, thank you for my abundance on this earth and in the world to come. Often I hear religion is a sales game where fees are paid for services not rendered until death. The customers always satisfied because none have returned to complain. Why is it so difficult for us to recognize Gods hand in our accomplishments? What is God’s word for assuring us of abundance on this earth? |
Bible Answer: Hopefully I didn’t misunderstand you. If you’re speaking of spiritual abundance, then yes, Christ says “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” John 10:10 But if you’re speaking of material abundance, then the Bible also speaks about that: Luke 9:23 And He was saying to them all, "If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross daily and follow Me.” Matthew 19:21 Jesus said to him, "If you wish to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me." Matthew 6:19-21 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Hebrews 13:5 Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said, "I WILL NEVER DESERT YOU, NOR WILL I EVER FORSAKE YOU," Ocelot |
