Bible Question:
Is anyone familiar with the term “gracious humility” as an attribute of God or as a Christian grace? This was a new term presented to me today and I am trying to reconcile it with a biblical depiction. WOS |
Bible Answer: Hi WOS, The only thing I can think of would be in, 1 Peter 5:5 (KJV) Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. 1 Peter 5:5 (NASB) You younger men, likewise, be subject to your elders; and all of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, for GOD IS OPPOSED TO THE PROUD, BUT GIVES GRACE TO THE HUMBLE.
