Bible Question: Thank you BradK. It was my quest about John1:21-25 that led to the question. John was asked about three personalities, Elias, Messiah and That Prophet. Majority wants to believe they must be jews and explain every scripture in that light. (You see whatever you want to see in the scripture) But God has created all. black white red and all. He has plan for all and has sent Prophets from among all. Why do we take only the jews to be the only true and pure race. i smell bigotry, I smell the devil, I smell the last day, The fear of God grips my heart and i yearn for the truth. So i ask and still ask. Is God a racist? Why is Mohammed left out of the picture, like he is a devil sent or is he? Have you read the quran? love |
Bible Answer: folawise, Scripture makes clear that the Jews are God's favored people (nation) as Deut. 7:6 tells us: "For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth." In regards to who "That Prophet" is- this is a direct reference to Deut. 18:15, which says "The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among you, from your countrymen, you shall listen to him." Mohammed is nowhere in the picture as he would not, and did not meet the Biblical standards of a prophet (Deut. 18:20-22)! Incidentally, before we continue too deep, what is your background? It would be helpful to know so that I have a point of reference, i.e. do you believe that the Bible is God's inspired, infallible Word? Do you believe that Jesus is God in the flesh? Are you a Muslim? The bottom line is this: Jesus Christ is THE WAY, THE TRUTH, and THE LIFE- for all! "And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved." Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
