Subject: Prophets in the church |
Bible Note: Hi BradK; I fully understand your position, but my question to you was focused on HOW could or would you be able to tell if there was a true profit with the criteria of 100 Pc. 100 Pc. I am in on way saying, that there would or should be things that God has not revealed to us already, because we do have the bible as his word to the Church. Or that God only has new things to reveal to us, but isn't it a possibility that God would talk to the Body of Christ to Edify it? Body of Christ being the true church, the believers that will hear the voice of the good shepherd and not another's, but if you have closed your ears, because of the false Prophets of today, that seems just like the kind of thing Satan would do, to discredit the true Prophets God MIGHT send to us. In your statement, saying you don't believe there are any true prophets today. With that belief how would you know if there were any, I personally believe there were Prophets sent by God, to the Jews before WW2 but many said we don't believe them, God would not tell us to leave our homes, businesses, our lively hoods that our fathers, and grandfathers have worked so hard for, and they died because of that belief. Is this belief something you personally have found to be true, or is it something you have been taught by someone else, or is it a teaching from your religious background up until today? I don't mean to be rude, or put you on the spot, thinking you have to defend your belief, you don't I'm just curious. I myself have come from a varied religious background, and I personally have had a battle of my own to overcome things that I was taught as truth that weren't, those things blocked me from seeing God in a much more clear light. My motto now, and for a long time has been. "Never limit God according to what I believe, because he is always bigger, than my beliefs." Be Blessed Nevvvvine |
