AMPLIFIED 2015 | Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace [God's remarkable compassion and favor drawing you to Christ] that you have been saved [actually delivered from judgment and given eternal life] through faith. Subject: Turning to sin after salvation |
Bible Note: BradK This advice ignores Scripture which clearly says; Or do you not know that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, not idolators, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor theives, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, shall inherit the kindom of God. (1 Cor. 6:9-10) Many times I see where those that believe in the "Eternal Security" theory turn God's grace into a license to sin. Grace does not give us license to sin, and still retain belief that we are heaven bound. Rom. 6:15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Jude verse 4 warns about those who change the grace of our God into a license for immorality This sounds like the same advice that I hear being spewed from liberal main-line denominations like the United Methodist's and others.
