NASB | Galatians 5:16 ¶ But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desire of the flesh. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Galatians 5:16 ¶ But I say, walk habitually in the [Holy] Spirit [seek Him and be responsive to His guidance], and then you will certainly not carry out the desire of the sinful nature [which responds impulsively without regard for God and His precepts]. |
Subject: So HOW do you walk in the Spirit ? |
Bible Note: Hi Kalos, These appear to be excellent comparison verses with a capitalized "filled with the Spirit" for Ephesians. However, I believe that we could equally speak well for a lower case "spirit" in the idea that we are filled with a spirit of wisdom when the word dwells in us richly. Can I get a comment from you about McArthur's notes concerning the comparison of these two Scriptures? See #113163. From the heart, Ray |
