Subject: Understand Hagar and Sarah illustration? |
Bible Note: Scripture ... Gal 4:24 "This is allegorically speaking, for these women are two covenants: one proceeding from Mount Sinai bearing children who are to be slaves; she is Hagar." My brother Tim, God's day to you. The 'covenant of Mt. Sinai' is one made to Hagar, unless I misread the text. It would be confusing to think that the child from Sarah would be an allegory of the child from Hagar ... was Israel considered slaves (Hagarites) until ... Jerusalem, and then were free? Free from what? It says Jerusalem and since He OUTSIDE of Jerusalem ... so I don't follow. Searcher |
