Bible Note: Inquisitor, The Lord's explanation in Matt 13 is clear. He spoke in parables to prevent understanding in those from whom he wished to judge by it. The parables were not spiritual mental exercises. If they had been, most everybody failed them miserably. The only reason the twelve figured some of them out was because of Jesus' plain teaching to them on prior occasions. Steve |
