Subject: What is a generatonal curse? |
Bible Note: One of the main things that is going to prevent generational trends, "curses" if you will, is studying and memorizing scripture. James 4:7 says to "Resist the devil and he will flee from you." Do not enter in where temptation is close. It is easy for the enemy to get a little barb in, and if you allow that "barb" to stay there, it can become a foothold and pretty soon a stronghold. One thing though. If you have overcome once, don't be self assured about it that it will never be a problem again. We must stay aware. Do not allow the "hook" to be placed again. It is too easy for a person with a fondness for alcohol who feels they have overcome and been freed to "show up" the enemy by brazenly going where the alcohol is. This pride can destroy the work that was previously done and allow a hook to be set even stronger. This can apply to any sin. But stand strong. Pray hard. Trust God. Debbie |
