Bible Question: The phrase "Generatonal Curses" has popped up quite a lot lately in converations and sermons. I can't seem to find anything on it. Could someone please explain a generatonal curse? |
Bible Answer: Kadadya, I would like to add this to the other replies: Spiritual warfare is something I to believe in and practice. John 17 is an entire chapter devoted to prayer. From it we learn that the world is a tremendous battleground where the forces under Satan's power and those under God's authority are at war. Satan and his forces are motivated buy bitter hatred for Christ and his forces. 2Corinthians 10:3 states "we do not wage war according to human standards". Here Christ is telling us that we are to wage war in the spiritual aspect. Verse 4 goes on to say that "the weapons of our warfare are not merely human, but they have a divine power to destroy strongholds (including generation curses). We destroy arguments and every proud obstacle raised up against the knowledge of God. Spiritual warfare is dangerous as you say, but, we must wage warfare against Satan not only because the bible tells us to but also to protect our friends and loved ones. If you would like the name of some good books on spiritual warfare e me and let me know I would be happy to suggest a few. prayon |
