Bible Question: what does the bible say about the defininiton of dating? isn't dating a meeting between someone at a certain place and time with agreement from both parties to get to know each other better? does that mean as christians we shouldn't date a non-christian eventhough we're strong in our faith? but we, christians should't confine from the world but instead set a testimony by bring forth the light to the world and be a channel of blessing?.....cUrIoUs |
Bible Answer: Feli No matter your definition of dating doesn't the verse you tie this to, answer your question? 2 Corinthians 6:14 (NKJV) 14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? There is not a lot of wiggle room here. Yes we are to be witnesses but we are witness first and if the person then accepts Jesus then we can date. Too many people get trapped in the belief that they will change the other. I can't tell you how many disasters that mistaken belief has made of marriages. EdB |
