Bible Note: Greetings Robin! I would agree with you because Scripture tells us that God so loved the world (John 3:16). He is said to have died for us and demonstrated His love for us while we were yet enemies (Rom. 5). The tricky part is that sometimes people get the wrong idea of what loving the sinner means. It does not mean: 1) That we do not preach the truth. 2) That we do not proclaim that their sin is in fact sin. 3) That we must condone their activities. 4) That God will not judge them if they continue in their sin. It does mean: 1) That we should speak the truth to them in love. 2) That we should call sin, sin. 3) That we should seek ways to be involved in their lives. 4) That we should be polite and respectful.
