Bible Question (short): Satan a good guy? |
Question (full): I know the KJV isn't what's used for this forum but in that version it says "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light" I understand it to mean just what the NASB and Amplified say above. However in the area where my mother lives there is a man who calls himself a reverend and teaches that this means Satan is now a good angel and his angels are good angels. He says that the devil and satan are not the same. I know this is foolish doctrine, but I'm just wondering if it comes from someplace any of you are aware of. Some cult etc? Has anyone ever heard this teaching before? He also teaches that all the fallen angels are traveling back through us. They are the spirit we have in us and they are going through this life for a second chance at choosing Christ. Anybody ever heard this before? I can't remember the scripture he uses for this but I'll keep trying to. I am not concerned for my mom, but this man is very charasmatic and not a few of people I used to fellowship with when I lived there are following him now. Theresa |
