Bible Question: Why is there such opposition God wanting to heal His people? I'm baffeled at the number of people who believe this. |
Bible Answer: Jesified I do not believe there are many Christians against divine healing. What most are against are the charlatans and false teachers that are making fortunes on the misery of others. When ever someone rips scripture from context in attempt to prove something the just isn’t true and actually contradicts fact is where the problems come from. No matter how many times someone says something it doesn’t make it right if the facts show it otherwise. I believe very strongly that God heals. Sometimes miraculously and other times through the hands of a Doctor. I also believe God does what glorifies Him, not just what we want. We are strangers and aliens in land that is not our home we are passing through. God never intended/desired man to live in this state. We are in a sense, spiritual people living in physical bodies. We have allowed Satan to change our focus from the spiritual to the physical, therefore many times we are more concerned about our physical wellbeing than we are our spiritual wellbeing. Our physical state is temporal our spiritual state is eternal which does anyone think is most important? Whenever a preacher/teacher spends more time teaching about physical wellbeing than he does spiritual wellbeing there should be a red light go off in our spirits. The question should be is he talking about things I want to hear (things of this world) or things I need to hear (things of God). I think the answer to your question is there is not many Christians that oppose the belief in divine healing. What most oppose are the false teachers and charlatans that are involved in it. EdB |
