Subject: a friend passed away. |
Bible Note: gianna I'm sorry this might not be what you want to hear right now but it is something you need to confront in your life right now because we have no promise of tomorrow. John 3:16-21 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. [17] For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. [18] He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. [19] And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. [20] For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. [21] But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God." Jesus clearly said the only way to the Father was through Him John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. You see it is not about being good or bad it is about accepting Jesus as Lord and Master in our lives. I hope your friend did this before his death, perhaps in the last momements of his life. However his fate is now sealed and only God knows what it is, you however still have that choice. You said you weren't very religious maybe it is time you get a little more serious about where you will be spending eternity. Jesus loves you and is reaching out to you. Don't let this passing of your friend be without cause, if you don't know Jesus ask Him into your heart, if you do know Jesus let him have his way in your life. Be blessed and be assured myself and many others on this forum are praying for your friends family in this time of lost. EdB |
