NASB | 1 Corinthians 7:12 ¶ But to the rest I say, not the Lord, that if any brother has a wife who is an unbeliever, and she consents to live with him, he must not divorce her. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 7:12 ¶ To the rest I declare--I, not the Lord [since Jesus did not discuss this]--that if any [believing] brother has a wife who does not believe [in Christ], and she consents to live with him, he must not leave her. |
Subject: He believes in God not Jesus, is it ok? |
Bible Note: I may have confused you a little bit at the end there. I admit I misquoted Paul in my response. What Paul talks about are those who are already married when one becomes a believer. Like I said earlier, it's healthier and better for Christians to marry, and I must insert my opinion now. If you wish to marry him (since you are engaged) go through with it, but as to the spiritual relationship of your marriage, I'd expect a rough ride. Sorry about the mistake. |
