Bible Question: what does hebrews 4-10 mean? does this mean that we are in his rest all the time there for the sabbath of the jews is not for the christian because we are in His rest at all times? |
Bible Answer: Heb 4:10 means we are to cease from trying to do good works as a means to obtain righteousness. God rested after creation, as the work was complete. We are to rest in the assurance of the work Jesus did on the cross, as the work was complete and we cannot add to. Anything we try to add, actually takes away (Gal 2:21) Jesus Saves! retxar |
