Bible Note: Greetings Kalos, One has to watch when reading anything in the Living translations; they interject their thoughts instead of what the Koine Greek actually said. Example Luke 21:22 (King James Version) For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. Luke 21:22 (New Living Translation) For those will be days of God's vengeance, and the prophetic words of the Scriptures will be fulfilled. Notice the error in translation! The word for God, THEOS, in the Koine Greek, isn’t even found in this verse and it is “likely” speaking about the vengeance of Satan, which is rampant in the last days before the rapture. Therefore the Living Trans. is the exact antithesis to what was being conveyed in the original language. Compare the following with Luke 21:22 Rev. 12:12 Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time. CDBJ |
