Subject: Jesus cast into hell?? |
Bible Note: Gracefull: And I find it interesting that the one verse you supplied had nothing to do with the question. Now if you hold with the Word-Faith Movement, suppose YOU provide scriptural evidence to support this view. Perhaps you weren't paying attention when I cited in my post Jesus' words on the cross, "It is finished." and offered a brief exegetical statement about its significance. Scriptural evidence that the blood of Christ shed on the cross cleanes us from sin is not lacking. 1 John 1:7: "...the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin." ..... 1 Peter 2:24: "who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness -- by whose stripes you were healed." Other passages to examine are Romans 3:24,25; Ephesians 2:7; 1 Peter 3:18. Now, if you wish to defend the Word-Faith Movement's claim that Christ accomplished His redemptive work in hell and that His work on the cross was not sufficient, you are more than welcome to present this forum with solid scriptural evidence with which to back up the WOF doctrine. Otherwise, lay off your innuendo-laden remarks to the effect that you find "interesting" that which is being presented on this forum in defense of orthodox Christian doctrine. In the interest of not wishing to appear accusatory or presumptive, may I please ask you to answer the following question? Do you or do you not support the WOF doctrine concerning Jesus' redemptive work in hell, His spiritual death in hell, and His being born again? If you do, please provide this forum with scriptural proof of the validity of this WOF doctrine. --Hank |
