Bible Question: Proverbs 4:5 Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding do not foget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth. In all the years you've been a christian has it ever ceased to amaze you how some people who know little speak loudest and put aside christian values to get their point across? |
Bible Answer: Good morning imf, This does tend to be true..Proverbs addresses 'much speaking'quite often. I take the following scriptures very seriously and am very grateful for the Holy Spirit teaching me early that to cease to be humble and teachable is to cease to grow. 1 Corinthians 4:4-5 "4.My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 5.Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of men's hearts. At that time each will receive his praise from God." Although I do believe with my whole heart what I believe, it is not in me to be excessively critical of those who disagree (I am a human as they are and they as human as myself) especially when they confess the basis of our faith..Jesus Christ. As a dear sister in the Lord just said..and I quote "..in the integrity of my heart I want to know the truth." My friend, if you are reading this, my joy is full today because of you! God bless |
