Subject: What's the Greek word 4 worship Jn 4:24 |
Bible Note: ngkh, Briefly on worship ... we don't prostrate ourselves before the Lord, as the despost - the absolute ruler over us ... nor do we think of Him in this manner ver often, if at all. I have more on worship ... read post 120794. I am concerned that you didn't feel the Spirit in you ... for He is in my heart (2 Cor 1:22). Also, as I pray, if I don't know what to pray for (not how to pray), the Spirit helps. He is the one who groans that words cannot express (Rom 8:26-27) ... and since there are no words and a language requires words ... even if we groaned - it wouldn't be a language. Moreover, the reason Paul spoke in more tongues (1 Cor 14:18), is because he spoke in the native tongues of the people, rather than Greek ... some of the same people were at Penecost (Acts 2) and heard the 120 speak in their own language. Tho Alex the Great made Greek the language, I believe most still spoke their own. Last note, if you pray in a tongue (another human language), your mind is unfruitful .. I wouldn't want that. Searcher PS When I pray in Japanese, my mind operates differently. I have done a study on tongues (read posts 116386 ... also 48618). |
