AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Subject: Why do I want to speak in tongues? |
Bible Note: Hello flyman, Might I ask what leads you to make such a broad statement that, "Remaining on the topic of this tread, it is easy to see why their is virtually no evidence of true believers"? I find that rash and extremely assumptive to say the least! You made the statements, I'm simply asking questions and trying determine what leads you to the conclusions you've made. Scripture cannot contradict itself, nor does Paul contradict Jesus! All Scripture is equally inspired. The words of Jesus do not supercede or "overrule" the words of Paul. To infer this is error. I'm not sure where you arrive at this notion? Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
