NASB | 1 Corinthians 13:1 If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Bible Question:
We do not know what Jesus looked liked. Where does the Bible say there is a difference between tongues of men and tongues of angels? When angels spoke to men, what language did they use? |
Bible Answer: Lets see...how about Isaiah 53:2 this might say something about His looks, and how about SS5:10-16 Look again at 1Corinthians 13:1 Before man was created what language did angels speak, and I hope you don't say english. I speak two languages and God answers me in both languages. But this is not what it's about, is it? Before I sent my last post I figured I might get a response from someone about speaking in tongues! As I mentioned before I'm not the one who came up with the idea of speaking in other tongues, I asked and I received and I have no problem with it. I confess that by the blood of Jesus I'm saved. And I never fall for any old line in my past, and I won't accept anything phony now. God the Holy Spirit can do with me as He wish. All I care about is that surely goodness and mercy shall follow me ALL the days of my life. So be straight with me and I'll do likewise. Must get ready for the evenning service, talk to you soon. Jesus Loves you, so do I. |
