AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 13:1 ¶ If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love [for others growing out of God's love for me], then I have become only a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal [just an annoying distraction]. |
Bible Question: 1 Cor. 13:1--does anyone know what the"tounges of angels" sound like?-apparently,Paul did.--angel1 |
Bible Answer: Does anyone know what Jesus looked liked, the Word of God states he was a common looking man, but there was a very uncommon difference between Jesus and man. We are talking about speaking in tongues here, and how does that sound? some say like babble, some say its a heavenly language but it doesn't matter, Paul was and IS saying there is a difference between tongues of men and tongues of angels, and he HAS both. We can agree that Paul was a very intellegent man and spoke very eloquently, but the evident of being Spiritual was not speaking in tongues, but rather LOVE was the evident of being Spiritual. As for me, I come from a hard back ground and it wasn't easy for me to come to our Lord, but now that I'm here, Praise God I'll take anything He wants to give me, even speaking with tongues of angels. In closing, it's not about what tongues of angels sound like, Its OUR obidentice to God. I was a fool in the world, but I would rather be a fool for Christ anytime. And we're going to judge angels! OK, Praise God. Good night and God bless you, and don't forget to go to Church tomorrow! |
