Bible Note: Dear CDBJ, You said,"this thread is 1Cor 12:13 and has nothing at all to do with water." Then you say,"it is a reference to the baptism of the Holy Spirit which every believer receives at the point of salvation." Please help me to understand how in 1Cor 12:13, we are to "drink of one Spirit" if that spirit is not water(living water), especially with 1John 5:8 in mind,"And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one". I have always understood the Father, Son and Holy Spirit to be one and Jesus to be God in the flesh and the Holy Spirit to be the spirit of God and in Jer 2:13 God says he is the fountain of living waters.
