Bible Question: When a Christian is not baptised before his death, could that hinder him from making heaven? In other words, can 'not being baptised, be a reason for a person who died keeping the bibles rules to losse heaven? |
Bible Answer: Greetings, Here is one you might think about. There is no such thing as a Christian that isn’t baptized! Why? What made them a Christian in the first place? Believing in, relying on, and trusting in Jesus, nothing more nothing less. What people don’t realize is that water baptism is only a ritual and causes divisions within Christian ranks. The baptism that unifies “all” believers in Jesus is that which God Himself performs and man can’t do anything to mess it up, i.e. the baptism of the Spirit. Ephes. 4:5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, Results: Jesus, faith in Jesus, the result is the unifying baptism by Jesus with the Holy Spirit. Ephes. 1:13 In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation-- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Combine that promise with the next two. 1 Cor. 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit. Matthew 3:11 "As for me, I baptize you with water for repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, and I am not fit to remove His sandals; He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Every one that has ever lived is going to be baptized with either the Holy Spirit or with the other option which isn’t very pleasant, fire. Believers and unbelievers alike will be baptized by one or the other. CDBJ |
