Bible Note: I am not uncomfortable with faith at all. I have been justified by faith (Romans 5:1). What bothers me is Jeff's use of the word "faith" in his post. He is basically saying that there is little or no biblical support for Trinitarian theology, but that "top Trinitarian scholars" encourage others to believe it anyway. We are to have faith in what God has revealed to us. He has revealed His nature as Trinitarian. We are never called to have faith in anything that is not part of God's revelation or contrary to it. Fortunately, the doctrine of the Trinity doesn't fall into that category. --Joe! |
