Bible Question (short): Receiving Communion if not married |
Question (full): I have been happily married for almost 9 years now but I did not get married through the church. I did it through the court. My husband just recently went on a church retreat and is now telling me we should get married and I don't want to becuase we already did but not through the church. I will eventually do it at a later date but I do not want to right now. The reason he's all upset now is because he can not receive Communion. I have benn a Catholic all my life and I still go every Sunday and on special occasions. Can he receive Communion even though he is not married through the Church or does he have to wait? |
