AMPLIFIED 2015 | 1 Corinthians 1:18 ¶ For the message of the cross is foolishness [absurd and illogical] to those who are perishing and spiritually dead [because they reject it], but to us who are being saved [by God's grace] it is [the manifestation of] the power of God. |

Bible Note: Hello Jesusman, I think Heb. 4:12 provides the answer- "For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart." My friend, scripture does not need the support of literature, science, or history! We're not talking about a term or research paper. It is the Word of God and is sufficient in itself! (2 Tim. 3:16) According to your theology, God's Word needs outside support and a prop to help it out. That is quite simply not supported by... scripture! You're grasping at straws and your analogy is a weak one at that:-) Speaking the Truth in Love, BradK |
