Bible Note: Steve, Thanks for replying. I am having a little difficulty knowing what those scriptures have to do with what I said. 2 Pet 1:3 does not limit my search to find the "everything" to the Bible. Peter was writing to people who certainly did not have a Bible, so he could not have possibly meant that the Bible was complete. He may have meant that the Apostles had everything? I want to learn all God has for me, and if I can glean more out of some things that were once considered scripture, I am going to try. I love the Bible as God's word, but too many questions are unanswered. Do you speak from experience about the Apocrypha? If so that dampens my hope of ever having a clear knowledge of what God's doctrine is. That's a little sad for me. Ted546 |
