Subject: What is blocking us from God's love? |
Bible Note: We have a personal relationship with Christ. Is this relationship unilateral, or bi-lateral. For that matter are any relationships except self-love uni-lateral? The following words come straight from the mouth of Jesus John 15:9 "As the Father has loved me, I have also loved you. Remain in My love. John 15:10 If you keep My commands you will remain in My love, just as I have kept My Father's commands and remain in His love. In verse 9 we see the command to "Remain in His love" In verse 10 we are told how we remain in His love. Obedience does not lead to salvation by works. Obedience is merely the by-product of having been saved. It's what a genuine saved person naturally does. Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God afore prepared that we should walk in them. TitusĀ 3:8 This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. James 2:17 faith, if it have not works, is dead James 2:20 faith without works is useless James 2:26 faith apart from works is dead. |
