Bible Question:
Jlpangilinan, "this verse is a very big reason that a truly saved person cannot go back to his old sins, because it is Christ live in him. If Christ truly lives in us I dont we are still capable of killing stealing or raping so on and so fort." How do you connect the verse below on your conclusion? Psalm 37:24 though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand This verse says, even though we are saved, being in this sinful flesh, we will still sin ( stumble ) but God will not let us lose our salvation ( fall ) as He will hold our hands like the way He held Peter, as long as we do what Peter did "Lord, save me" ( Matt 14.30 ) NGOP |
Bible Answer: NGOP I think you did not understand what I mean here. Ga 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. "this verse is a very big reason that a truly saved person cannot go back to his old sins, because it is Christ live in him. If Christ truly lives in us I dont we are still capable of killing stealing or raping so on and so fort." Quote" How do you connect the verse below on your conclusion? Psalm 37:24 though he stumble, he will not fall, for the LORD upholds him with his hand This verse says, even though we are saved, being in this sinful flesh, we will still sin ( stumble ) but God will not let us lose our salvation ( fall ) as He will hold our hands like the way He held Peter, as long as we do what Peter did "Lord, save me" ( Matt 14.30 )and end of quote. Answer. I carefully read my posts and I dont see that I said we cannot sin, but I wrote we cannot go back to our "old sin" For example I am a rapist and a killer murderer then received the truth of Christ and Christ live in me, do you think I am capable of raping again, murdering again, while Christ lives in me? What kind of christ is that lives in me if He still allow me to kill murder and raping again and again. Paul consider a murderer when he prosecuted the believer of Christ, but he received Christ, and Christ lives in Him did he prosecuted again the Christian? God bless, |
