NASB | Romans 7:13 ¶ Therefore did that which is good become a cause of death for me? May it never be! Rather it was sin, in order that it might be shown to be sin by effecting my death through that which is good, so that through the commandment sin would become utterly sinful. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 7:13 ¶ Did that which is good [the Law], then become death to me? Certainly not! But sin, in order that it might be revealed as sin, was producing death in me by [using] this good thing [as a weapon], so that through the commandment sin would become exceedingly sinful. |

Bible Note: Aixen7z4: Your post seems to reflect a misunderstanding or misapplication of the facts. In the first place, EdB in Post 125189 was speaking of your web site, not Lockman's or StudyBibleForum's. He never as much as mentioed the Lockman Foundation, much less accusing them of hosting a Forum in order to sell their Bibles at a profit. In the second place EdB knows that Lockman is a nonprofit organization, and you should know that too. If you don't, click on "Lockman" at the top of this Forum's home page and you will find the following statement at the top of Lockman's home page: "The Lockman Foundation is a nonprofit, interdenominational ministry dedicated to the translation, publication, and distribution of the New American Standard Bible, La Biblia de las Americas, the Amplified Bible, and other Biblical resources." --Hank |
