Bible Question: If you become saved, but then continue sinning and living your life unaccording to God's word, is it possible not to be saved? I need the bible scripture and reference. Thanx! |
Bible Answer: Hi Jess, I have a favorite verse that helps me out a lot, it is John 5:24, which does basically state that once you have been saved you have crossed over from death into life. Also there is another scripture verse that states that once we are in the Fathers hand that no one can snatch you out of His hand. Also what helps to keep in mind is that it is what Jesus Christ has done for you on the cross that will bring you into heaven. It is not based on the good that you do, or the sin that you commit. The life we strive to live after being saved is one of goodness and thanksgiving as a way to show our appreciation for what Jesus Christ has already accomplished for us. So being saved is Jesus's work, and living free is our work, in a sense. If we fall, confess your sin to Jesus, become forgiven and clean and ask for His strength to keep you from slipping. Ok friend, I hope that this helps you some, so don't worry and have a blessed day. Most importantly be a blessing to others, God bless you, your friend in Christ....Mike |
