Bible Question: If you become saved, but then continue sinning and living your life unaccording to God's word, is it possible not to be saved? I need the bible scripture and reference. Thanx! |
Bible Answer: Your question is a good one and one that many ask. Here is my understanding from Rom7,7-Rom 8-14 and Mat 12,31: Paul helps us to understand that we will struggle with sin but through Jesus we have forgiveness. Jesus indicates the one sin that "...will not be forgiven...". It seems to me that if I am using every opportunity to live for Christ and be an example of how Christ lived and I make a mistake and I approach GOD through Christ, I will be forgiven and GOD forgets my sin. Following this thinking, I would never want to com close to committing a sin that could not be forgiven. So what I am saying it this: While the question is a good one, for the Christian this should not be a fear or a concern. However, Paul does say in Rom 8, 13, "For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die;...". What I understand from Paul is that if we continue to live outside of Christ, being unsaved alive is not the issue, we will die outside of Christ...which I personally think is the ultimate of being unsaved. I hope this helps. |
