Bible Question:
My boyfriend is haveing serious problems with is walk with God. He's always searching for answers on how to be a better man of God, on faith, salvation, etc. I can show him every verse I find that explains his questions but he twists the verses around in his mind that it leaves him empty again. He does not want to have a TV in his home when he has children because everything they watch should be about God or it is bad. I do not agree. I agree on limiting the amount of TV and the trash on TV. And when Tv is consuming so much of your time that it interferes with your walk with God. He is not happy because he is trying to make everything perfect and he is making himself miserable in the process and I think really missing out on the greatness of God. NO matter what you say or what you give him to read he still feels like he is not doing enough and I just don't know what else to do. I was just hopeing someone had some advice on this. Thanks |
Bible Answer: hi .. for starters Nothing you say or do will change his mind so thebest thing for you to do is to pray that god show him and give him answers .. Although my Uncle was the same way He felt taht tv in the home was not good that it hindered their faith in god. He very well might feel the same way. I agree with you that tv in the home can be Monitored however anymore there isn't much that is good on tv for kids to see. All the good family shows seem to have vanished. God will show him and give him all that he requirers to grow with the lord. Just continue to be there and suport his decissions..I wish you luck and god bless your sister in christ callie |
