Bible Question (short): It is time to glorify God for His mercy? |
Question (full): The versions out there today do not capitalize "servant" here in this verse. Here is my rendering of the verse with an added phrase for what it is worth and for discussion and comment. Romans 15:8,9, "For I say that Christ has become a *Servant to the circumsion on behalf of the truth of God to confirm the promises given to the fathers, *and I say that it is time* for the Gentiles to glorify God/ for His mercy; as it is written, "Therefore I [David] will give praise to Thee among the Gentiles, and I [David] will sing to (Thy) name."" May the name of God be praised! From the heart, Ray |
