Bible Note: Hi Kalos, I agree with you that any of these things may be misunderstood or not understood at all, and salvation is not at issue, so long as we are clear on repentance, substitutionary atonement, and faithfulness. By "secondary non-essentials", you are referring then to anything outside of the immediate and neccessary requirements of salvation? As I look at the examples Paul gave in Romans 14, all are related to personal lifestyle. The parallel passage to this is 1 Cor 10 (the latter portion), which is also giving examples of lifestyle rather than doctrine. Your thoughts? Love in Christ, Mark |
