Bible Note: Hi Kalos, Thanks for bringing this up! This is why I want to encourage everyone who participates in this forum to base everything on Scripture. That way, we can know just what has been clearly spelled out, and what is subect to our own conscience. It is only after an exhaustive search of God's Word that we can declare something a matter of personal opinion. Isn't Romans 14:1-12 talking about our liberty in Christ, and that if a brother, as a matter of conscience, doesn't think he should do something, like eat at the Krishna temple, or boogie board on Sundays, that the "stronger" brother should not try to convince him otherwise, lest he cause him to sin against his own conscience? And that maybe I should think twice about boogie boarding on Sundays, because my brother is having a problem with it? Does Romans 14 have any application to matters of Theology, Ecclesiology, or the other ologies? What do you think? Love in Christ, Mark |
