Subject: How can you prove God exists? |
Bible Note: BigJohn, Greetings, excellent posting. Hebrews 12:1, We have all the evidence we need. Romans 1:20 states this truth quite well also. In reality the proof doesnt rest on us,it's always been there. There is a brother in my fellowship whom I'm blessed to have a close friendship with, him and I have had this discussion at great length on a number of occasions. Him being a former athiest himself. The last line of your posting sums it up pretty well. One question we both keep comming back to is this,Is there really a true athiest? Now I say this from a secular perspective, the fact that someone may disbelieve something offers the evidence of possible doubt in the persons mind. Agnostic yes by all means. When someone tells me to prove God's existence knowing that they will not at the moment give creedence to the bible I will oft times look em straight in the eye tell em I'm looking at living breathing proof right in front of me.Romans 1:20 fits perfectly here. When one is living in absolute unbelief this is what we will encounter when we are sharing with those who identify themselves as athiests. 2 Timothy 3:16,17 2 Peter 1:20,21 we have the truth and the evidence and it is the truth even if one chooses to reject it. We preach it and teach it,God will work in the hearts and minds of those we reach out to. In Christ, lionheart |
