AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 1:20 For ever since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through His workmanship [all His creation, the wonderful things that He has made], so that they [who fail to believe and trust in Him] are without excuse and without defense. Subject: People goto hev'n or hl not knowing God? |
Bible Note: I am glad that you are discussing these things at school. More students need to be talking about the most important things of all! Rather than give a long drawn-out paragraph here, I would encourage you to open your Bible and read Romans 1:18-20. Why does Paul say that everyone is without excuse in verse 20? What has God done that keeps anyone from saying that they did not know about God? Then read John 14:6 and Acts 4:12. What is the only way to heaven? Do these verses say that God gives anyone an excuse? Your youth counselor is right, so make sure that you give your friends the opportunity to respond to the wonderful news of Jesus Christ. Tell them about God's holiness (Habakkuk 1:13). Tell them about their own sin (Romans 3:10-18,23-24). Tell them about Jesus' perfect life, his death on a cross, and His resurrection (1 Corinthians 15:1-3). Then tell them they will go to Heaven by trusting completely in what Christ did (John 3:16). This is truly the only way to heaven, and they have to hear it if they are going to be saved (Romans 10:14). I hope this helps you out, and I am very encouraged that you are talking about Jesus at school! --Joe! |
