Bible Question:
Romans 1:18-20 In verses 18-20, is Paul referring to all men or to a specific group i.e. Leaders, Teachers, Policitians, Priests, Church leaders, etc.? During Paul's time and before, did ALL people know there was a God in heaven or had some not heard? If all had heard, when/how did the world get to the point of some people having never heard? Your replies will be most appreciated! God bless! Wanda B. |
Bible Answer: Wanda, Paul is paving the way for the Good News by first proclaiming the bad news: that all nations are and sinful before God, whether Gentiles 1:18-32, who reject the revelation of God in nature and the world or Israel 2:1-3:20 who rejects or fails to follow the teachings of thwe supernatural revelation of God in the Hebrew scriptures. The are none so blind as them that will not see nor any so deaf as those who will not hear. They actually suppress in their minds what is there for them to see and hear. It is willfull ignorance and sin. I hope this helps some. Emmaus |
